How can I create a new Note Structure in the Library?

When is this useful?

When you have an example note or a document and want Noteless to copy the structure and writing style.

Step by step

  1. Go to the Library in the left-hand menu.

  2. Under Note Structure, click “+”.

  3. Fill in Title, Description, and Instructions (optional).

  4. Choose one of two inputs:

    • Paste an example note into the text field, or

    • Upload a file with example content.

  5. Click Generate and wait for Noteless to suggest sections based on the example (e.g., Presenting complaint, Findings, Assessment, Plan, Summary).

  6. Order: Drag/rearrange sections as needed (for example, place Summary at the top).

  7. For each Section, adjust:

    • Style: Paragraphs or Bullet points

    • Detail level: Normal / High

    • Add custom instructions if needed

  8. Generate a preview and confirm the structure looks correct.

  9. Click Save. Set it as your default template if you want.

Tips

  • If paragraphs start looking too “bullet-like,” change the section style to Paragraphs.

  • Use Assistant Commands to enforce fixed phrasing or tone (e.g., narrative, concise).

Troubleshooting

  • Preview seems stuck? Wait a moment — the first generation can take a little longer.

  • Wrong sections suggested? Adjust your instructions and generate a new preview.
