When to use:

If you like the base of an existing template (e.g., SOAP) but want to fine-tune structure, detail, or style.

Step-by-step:

  1. Go to Settings → Library → Templates.

  2. Find the template you want to build on (e.g., SOAP).

  3. Click Duplicate, then Edit.

  4. Fill in Title and Description (e.g., “My own note”).

  5. Open each Section (Presenting Complaint/Findings/Assessment/Plan) and adjust:

    • Section style: Paragraph or Bullet list.

    • Detail level: Normal or High.

    • Instructions: precise guidelines for Noteless (e.g., “Use pronouns, not ‘the patient’”).

  6. (Optional) Add a new section (e.g., “Summary” or a patient letter).

  7. (Optional) Open Advanced to see more detail on what is generated.

  8. Wait for the preview (5–15 sec). Check structure and detail.

  9. Click Save changes.

Using the template in a consultation:

  • After saving, you can regenerate a note in an existing consultation with your new template.

  • Set the template as default if you want it used for all new consultations.

Tips:

  • Start with small changes (e.g., just higher detail in Presenting Complaint).

  • Give clear instructions for consistent results (e.g., language, tone, order).

Troubleshooting:

  • No change? Check if you saved.

  • The preview uses a sample transcript – real consultations will vary.
