When is this useful?

If you like the foundation of an existing note structure (for example SOAP) but want to fine-tune the structure, level of detail, or writing style.

Step by step

  1. Go to the Library in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click the Noteless tab.

  3. Find the note structure you want to build on (e.g. SOAP).

  4. Right-click the template and select Duplicate.

  5. Enter a Title and Description (e.g. “My custom note”).

  6. Open each Section (Subjective / Objective / Assessment / Plan) and adjust:

    • Section style: Paragraphs or Bullet points

    • Detail level: Normal or High

    • Instructions: Clear guidance for Noteless (e.g. “Use pronouns, not ‘the patient’”)

  7. (Optional) Add a new section (e.g. Summary or a patient letter).

  8. (Optional) Open Advanced to see more detailed generation settings.

  9. Wait for the preview (5–15 seconds) and confirm that the structure and detail level are correct.

  10. Click Save changes.

Using the template in a consultation

  • After saving, you can regenerate the note in an existing consultation using your new template.

  • Set the template as default if you want it to be used automatically for new consultations.

Tips

  • Start with small changes (for example, higher detail level only in Subjective).

  • Add clear instructions to achieve consistent results (e.g. language, tone, order).

Troubleshooting

  • No changes visible? Make sure you saved the template.

  • The preview uses a sample transcription—results may vary in real consultations.
