Introduction to the Assistant in Noteless

The assistant in Noteless is your always-available digital helper—before, during, and after consultations and dictation. You’ll always find it on the home screen, and it’s designed to be used in whatever way best fits your daily workflow.

You can use the assistant freely, even without starting a consultation.

What can you use the assistant for?

The assistant helps you to:

  • Ask clinical or practical questions

  • Work with text

  • Analyze content

  • Create new documents based on existing text

You can:

  • Type directly in the chat

  • Paste in text

  • Upload files

  • Dictate using the microphone icon

The assistant will either respond directly or ask follow-up questions if it needs more information to give you a good answer.

Instructions and modes – where do you find them?

Instructions

Use instructions when you want to give the assistant a clear task (for example: “shorten the text,” “write a medical certificate,” “translate to English”).

  • You’ll find instructions via the plus button (+) in the chat field in a generated note

  • Noteless provides several ready-made examples

  • You can also create and save your own instructions

Some instructions appear at the top or directly in the overview—these are favorites.

Favorites:

  • The most recently used favorite is shown at the top

  • The order updates automatically based on what you use most

Modes

Modes are specialized versions of the assistant (for example: summaries, lab results, or certificates).

  • You’ll find them below the assistant

  • You usually don’t need to select a mode manually

  • Noteless typically understands which mode is appropriate

The buttons are there for users who want:

  • More insight into what’s happening

  • Extra reassurance that the correct mode is being used

The assistant during a consultation

During a consultation or dictation, you can use the assistant to:

  • Ask control questions

    • “Have we remembered to cover topic X?”

  • Create or prepare documents along the way

  • Analyze lab results, referrals, or text

  • Write patient letters or other documentation before moving on

The assistant works as real-time support, without interrupting your flow.

The assistant after the consultation

Once the consultation or dictation is finished, the assistant remains available in the same place.

Typical workflow:

  1. Start a consultation

  2. Complete and finish it

  3. Use the assistant to:

    • Rewrite

    • Expand

    • Shorten

    • Translate

    • Create a referral or certificate

    • Create supplementary documents

Everything can be done based on the note that has already been generated.

How should you talk to the assistant?

Think of the assistant as a hyper-intelligent human assistant.

  • The clearer your instructions, the better the result

  • If something is unclear, the assistant will ask

  • You can always follow up and clarify

This is completely normal—just like a dialogue with another person.

Instructions + assistant = best results

The assistant works especially well together with:

  • Instructions you use frequently

  • Your own saved instructions, tailored to your working style

Noteless provides examples, but the real value comes when you actively start using the assistant yourself.

Just try it

There are many examples of what the assistant can do—but you don’t need to know them in advance.

👉 Ask questions you think it can help with
👉 Also ask questions you’re unsure whether it can help with

The assistant will respond—and that’s how you discover what’s actually possible.
