Open Windows Settings

  1. Click the Start button (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

  2. Click the gear icon to open Settings.


Go to Privacy settings

  1. In the Settings window, click Privacy.


Microphone access

  1. In the left-hand menu, scroll down and click Microphone.

  2. Under “Allow apps to access your microphone,” make sure the toggle is set to On.


Allow desktop apps to access your microphone

  1. Scroll down to “Allow desktop apps to access your microphone.”

  2. Make sure this toggle is also set to On.

  3. Confirm that the browser you are using (e.g. Chrome, Edge) appears in the list of apps with microphone access.
