Open System Settings
Click the Apple menu (Apple logo) in the top-left corner of the screen.
Select System Settings.
Go to Privacy & Security
In the System Settings window, click Privacy & Security
(In some macOS versions, this may appear as Privacy only.)
Select Microphone
Under the Privacy section, click Microphone.
Grant apps access to the microphone
You will see a list of apps that have requested access to the microphone.
To grant access, enable the checkbox next to the relevant app (for example, the browser you are using—Chrome, Safari, etc.).
If the app is not listed, open it first so it can request microphone access.
